It was...dark. Very...very dark. There weren't many of...us. There were...four? Ten...?...Fifty? I can't remember anyone...besides Sloan and Horatio. And me. We had our notebooks. We had...our weapons. We had our...masks. We were ready...to fight. And we...were ready to die. We were...ready to die if...we had to. The first sound...was gunfire. Then...radio crackles. Finally screams. It all started...so fast. Suddenly there was...fire in the...forest. The snow was melting...turning into blood. There was...no chance...but the one that...we had brought with us. The...eclipse...cast light on...the dead faces...so many of them. We couldn't stick...together. If we hadn't moved...we would have died. Sloan and Horatio ran off...in whatever direction...they could hear...fighting. I sat...in the snow...the melted, blood-stained snow. I opened - the notebook...I looked at the drawings...the notes...the stories...my story. I started reading...it aloud. I couldn't...do anything else. I couldn't have stood...seeing the faces...the hurt...the only thing I could...do...was sit and read. I had gotten past...the first page when I...heard him scream. Not Sloan...not Horatio. No...no...he was lying under...a tree. There were men...women...children...there were people hanging...in the tree...and he was there - bleeding - from everywhere - his blood seeping into...the ground...the bark...he promised me he wasn't...going to die there. That he wouldn't...let It stop him, or the Agents, or any tree of dead...people. And then...then It showed up...It took me...I was...I can't...remember...what happened. Suddenly I was...I was here...no - not here...I was there, at...at the Facility...there were - all...nobody had died...that night...that's what the Tablet...told me...that's...then I...I found Sloan...and Horatio...again...they told me - the same thing...everyone...was alive. But I knew...it couldn't be...true...because he had died that...night...he couldn't - he couldn't have come...back...could he...?
